Wonderful Instant Heat!
Great for winter barbecuing in Alberta! Putting this heater together was a bit of a challenge because the hole in the base was too small for the bracket to fit into but after speaking to Suzanne at Paramount she sent us a new base with the appropriate hole and things went smoothly after that. However, the vinyl cover that was provided for the heater head was very difficult to put on and we never did get the zipper closed. It seemed to be too snug and although we have the pole adjusted to it's shortest we had a problem reaching the top! Perhaps a less fitted cover would be more practical, especially when it is cold outside.

Vive la chaleur instantanée
Un des meilleurs achats que j'ai pu faire. Chauffe très bien et très rapidement. Le poteau est un peu difficile àboulonner àla base, car le trou est un peu juste, mais ça rend l'ensemble beaucoup plus solide. Maintenant nous pouvons profiter des soirÃes extÃrieures au chaud!

works well ...but
Works well but after a period of about 15 minutes it becomes very hot and turns off automatically and stays off. I must turn the switch off and wait several minutes for the unit to cool down before I can turn it on again. this cycle goes on and on. Annoying !!! Can somebody help me with this problem ? Works Great!
This Chinese manufactured heater is ideal for our small (10X15ft) porch. It heats up immediately, is easily adjusted in height and direction, easy to move around and simple to operate. There is no adjustment for heat level. For a bigger area a gas heater would probably be more suited. Have only used for a couple of days with no problems. All the parts were in the box ready to assemble, nothing missing or damaged. The assembly instructions are VERY detailed and should be CLOSELY followed (think Ikea) to avoid redos. It helps to install everything with a loose fit to ensure assembly is correct, then tighten up. We purchased the Heater through a dealer (Pro Weld in Concord) rather than from Amazon or other on-line seller so we could pick it up and have the assurance that we could easily return it if we ran into problems. There were none. Pro Weld were very helpful and easy to deal with.

Hot and heavy-duty portable patio heater
Very happy with the sturdiness and heat from this heater. Perfect for a deck with multi seating since the wheels allow it to be rolled around. It requires a heavy duty 12 gauge extension cord you may not have at home. We found one at Canadian Tire.

Parfait pour les soirées plus froides
Facile à monter, ce radiateur est idéal pour les soirées fraîches et même froides. Il réchauffe rapidement tout autour de lui et permet de prolonger grandement les soirées de printemps ou d’automne sur le patio. Je l’adore.

Seems a solid product
Relatively easy to assemble. Works well and produces good heat. Unfortunately there's no thermostat which would be beneficial for smaller areas. Have concerns with how weatherproof these electrical parts are and haven't tested much yet so 3 stars.

Winter cigar on patio
Winter is long in Canada and I needed something to break the cold evenings in order to enjoy a cigar with a mate or two. This was perfect. Immediately you feel the heat building from within you. I can move it easy and the telescope shaft makes adjust a snap. Wish I had made the move to get this sooner. In the spring and fall it will be in the backyard. Love it. Thank you Paramount.

Loved this - bought a second one!
We were so pleased with the purchase of this heater in August, that we bought another one so we could sit out in the winter - in Alberta! We have put one over one patio sofa, and now put another one over the other sofa. They do not heat a large area, but rather the people sitting in the furniture near the heater. Perhaps if you have a small space - you could feel it in the whole area, but we have a large seating area and one would not suffice. I put together the unit in an hour - it was really well detailed in the instructions. Everyone that comes over and sits near this thing asks where we got it (Costco) and wants to purchase one for themselves. We have not had to replace the bulb yet - so can't comment on that yet.
